About Theotis

Roy T. Smith formed The Theotis Group and Business Development Inc. in October of 2001 to leverage his expertise and relationships in the automotive industry.

When he started Theotis, Roy set the following objectives:

• To develop a business model that adds value for our customers’ through measured performance and by providing service and support that exceed quality and cost objectives.
• To become a successful supplier with American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM)
• To actively educate a small group of minority clients in their efforts to develop and grow their businesses through effectively managing their resources and exceeding the tough manufacturing requirements of their customer base.
  

In April of 2003, Theotis was awarded a contract to assemble kits for AAM’s Detroit Gear & Axle Complex which operates some of their plants on three shifts. By the end of 2006, we had built over 12 million kits for an average daily rate of 20,000. Our quality and delivery has been flawless and AAM stands as an excellent reference for our work.

Also, in late 2006, Theotis was named as an authorized 3CPR provider for DaimlerChrysler and as an authorized third party verifier for AAM.

Since Theotis has made major inroads toward achieving our three objectives, our focus now is on extending our business model to include targeted companies like DaimlerChrysler, Ford, General Motors, Delphi, and the Detroit Medical Center.
